Rare Household Words conducted by Charles Dickens, published in 1951, rebound in navy leather with red and yellow bands, green and taupe marbled paper covers and speckled endpapers. Nearly complete (missing volume 4 and 20), for a total of 32 volumes.
Household Words was a British weekly magazine edited by Dickens which featured a mix of fiction and non-fiction stories by a variety of writers including the story "Hard Times."
Ex library with clean envelopes pasted to insides of back covers. Otherwise unmarked with clean pages throughout. A few hinges worn with 3 reattached. Spines have a darkened patina appearing black in most light.
About 26" wide as a set and each measuring 6.25" tall.
A beautiful set for the collector or for decorative uses.
