Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, JM Barrie, illustrated by Arthur Rackham, 1908, Hodder & Stoughton, London, 3rd printing

The very beautiful Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, illustrated by Arthur Rackham. Bound in red cloth with decorative gilt. Illustrated with 50 tipped-in color plates. Published in 1908 by Hodder & Stoughton, London. This is the 3rd printing of this important work.

Some scuffs/marks on covers and spine, rubbing to cover edges, corners and hinges. Tone overall a bit faded but with bright, clear gilt. Small split at top edge of spine end. Binding tight and complete. Front free endpaper has a lightened spot where something was erased. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked except for very occasional, very light foxing.

Considered one of Arthur Rackham's finest works.
