Legends from the Fairy Land Narrating the History of Prince Glee and Princess Trill, the Cruel Persecutions and Consign Punishment of Aunt Spite, The Adventures of the Great Tuflongbo & the Story of the Blackcap in the Giant's Well, published by Chatto and Windus, London, JB Lippincott, Philadelphia, 1908. This extremely rare and exceptionally beautiful book appears to be initially published by ST Freemantle in 1906.

Gilt decorated cover and spine. Deckled page edges and gilt top edge. Olive green illustrated endpapers. Filled with black and white, full page plates with red inked captions and charming in-text illustrations of fairies and other characters throughout.

Hinges worn, cover edges rubbed with some loss of color. Gilt a bit scuffed but overall bright. Frontispiece missing, all pages and plates otherwise present. A few pages with light foxing, mostly pages are unmarked. 12 pages with losses at margins (see 2 last pics), losses do not effect text but do cut slightly into in-text illustrations. Binding firm.
