I have endeavoured in this Ghostly little book to raise the Ghost of an Idea which shall not put my readers out of humour with them-selves, with each other, with the season, or with me. May it haunt their house pleasantly, and no one wish to lay it.

Spine faded, spine ends scuffed with light fraying. Corners bumped. Cover edges a bit worn. Cover gilt is very clear and bright with with rich blue/black cloth. Shadowing/foxing on endpapers, pages are otherwise clean and unmarked with tight binding. All pages and plates are present.
