Beautiful 15th edition of The Wind in the Willows, published in 1923 with a note written and signed by the writer, Kenneth Grahame.

Dear Sir:
Your letter of the 16th has only just come into my hands, as I have been too busy to get here. Please believe that I had no wish to be churlish, that it will give me great pleasure to meet you if you still wish it! Would it trouble you to call here, say Thursday afternoon at 5:40?

Inscription on endpaper dated 1924.
Some wear to cover edges and front hinge, bumped corners, scuff marks to cover and spine. Spine ends a bit frayed. Some light foxing on a few pages. Some pencil marks. Signature on letter has been cut from letter and taped back in.
