This particular edition of My Days with the Fairies, written by Mrs Rodolph Stawell and Illustrated by Edmund Dulac, was later published by Folio Society with a similar binding. This is the original edition, a new and enlarged edition, published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1920. It is extremely rare and gorgeous with gilt and inked cover and spine and 8 beautiful, tipped-in color plates by Dulac, all present. Each has a letterpress embellished tissue guard featuring a fairy. Plates are mounted to textured paper.
Spine has been repaired externally along back hinge with some fraying and stiffness of cloth at hinge and a cm long, horizontal tear at spine that has been glued down. Front internal hinge also appears cleanly repaired. Binding remains firm. Wear to cloth of front hinge, corners and spine ends. 2 notable worn patches on front cover with one having some kind of white material stuck to it. Pages are pristine and complete.
